Seychelle’s New Water
Pitcher Filtration System Offers Significant Technological Advantages over
Existing Systems
County of Los Angeles Environmental Toxicology Laboratory
confirms Seychelle filter technology removes EPA-identified toxic contaminants linked
to cancer, birth defects and neurological disorders
SAN
JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., May 3, 2006 — Seychelle
Environmental Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets: SYEV) today announced the
introduction of its water pitcher filtration system, the most technologically
advanced water pitcher available on the market today.
“Although
tap water meets federal and state standards, millions of consumers have turned
to water pitchers to improve the quality of their drinking water by removing
chlorine, bad taste and odor,” said Carl Palmer, founder, president and chief
executive officer of Seychelle Environmental Technologies. “But over the past
10 years, the technology hasn’t really changed, and consumers believe
erroneously that they are receiving the benefits of pure water, when only a
handful of contaminants are actually being removed – until now.”
The new
water pitcher filter system leverages Seychelle’s proprietary Ionic Adsorption
Micron Filter technology. The filter’s unique blend of media removes up to
99.8 percent of most pollutants and contaminants found in fresh water supplies,
as identified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in its
publication, “Water on Tap” (EPA 815-K-97-002), which can cause serious
health problems or even death. The filter removes not only chlorine, sediment
and odor, it also removes pathogens,
such as Giardia, Cryptosporidium; chemicals
such as PCBs, herbicides, pesticides, DDT, MTBEs, detergents and other organic
compounds; as well as heavy metals,
such as arsenic, lead, mercury, aluminum, asbestos, cadmium, copper and Chromium
6, which drew widespread attention as a result of the movie, “Erin Brockovich.”
Economical
Water Pitcher Provides Safe Drinking Water for up to 150 Gallons
The new
pitcher system comes with removable filters that produce up to 150 gallons of
clean, great-tasting filtered water, as compared to about 40 gallons for most
other pitchers on the market. An LED counter is included to ensure consumers
have a reliable way of knowing when to change the filter. And, with its
pistol-grip handle and flip-top lid for easy filling, the pitcher fits easily
into any refrigerator, and can be used for a variety of purposes, including at
home, on an RV or boat, hiking, camping, traveling or worldwide when used with
the optional disinfectant accessory.
Seychelle
Pitcher Pure Removes Toxins, Microbial Contaminants and Chemicals
In early
April, the prominent County of Los Angeles Environmental Toxicology Laboratory,
which is accredited and certified by the EPA and California State Department of
Health Services, completed its testing of the Seychelle Ionic Adsorption Micron
Filter. Results of the tests verified the successful reduction of the 50 organic
and inorganic contaminants listed by the EPA in “Water on Tap,” in
accordance with the Safe Drinking Water Act, which are linked to cancer, birth
defects, neurological disorders and a host of other diseases.
The
Seychelle Pitcher retails for $49.95 and is available through dealers,
distributors and online at www.Seychelle.com.
