Seychelle Receives Over $300,000 in New Orders; Announces Launch of its New 18oz
Portable Water Filtration Bottle!
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. -- (Business Wire) -- September 16, 2008 -- Seychelle
Water Filtration Products, a DBA of Seychelle Environmental Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin
Board: SYEV), a worldwide leader in the development, manufacture and sale of proprietary
portable water filtration bottles made two announcements today; First, the receipt of over
$300,000 in new orders for advanced water filtration bottles for a humanitarian organization
that has a worldwide reach when disaster strikes; and other Seychelle products from several
current and new domestic and international customers.
Second, the long awaited launch of its new 18oz portable water filtration bottle at a
suggested retail price of $15.95 designed to capitalize on the growing trend away from
expensive bottled water toward filtered water.
Carl Palmer, President and CEO of Seychelle said, "We are most pleased that this
large humanitarian group has selected Seychelle to work with its people throughout the world
to provide safe, pure drinking water in a portable bottle when disaster strikes such as
hurricanes, floods, tornados and typhoons. This order is for Seychelles’ advanced
filter bottles, using EPA approved iodinated resin, that have been proven effective against
virus, bacteria and cysts to 99.9999% contaminant reduction where safe, fresh drinking water
is not available."
Commenting on the second announcement, Mr. Palmer said, "With the launch of our new,
compact 18oz bottle, we are now able to provide a portable drinking water filtration system
that can be used with ordinary tap water; good for up to 378 half liters of bottled water at
an affordable price! The new bottle has been so well received that we are already placing
additional orders to meet customer demand!" The filter removes chlorine, sediment and
dirt; volatile organic compounds such as insecticides, herbicides and pesticides; Giardia
and Cryptosporidium and many heavy metals. It has been tested extensively by independent
government laboratories to EPA/ANSI protocols and NSF Standards 42 and 53.
The new Seychelle bottle addresses the many concerns of bottled water today including:
the high cost per gallon when compared to filtered water, plastic bottle leaching, the
environmental issues caused by billions of plastic bottles ending up in landfills, the
weight of bottled water, the depletion of water resources from small towns and cities for
commercial purposes and the fact that bottled water quality is not always assured. Mr.
Palmer said, "Receptivity to the new bottle has been great and we expect that it will
be one of the most successful products we have ever produced!"
