"Trials were conducted on Expedition Nepal Dragon of the self-filtering water bottle from 1 November to 26 November, 98. Five members tested the bottles and all found the concept an excellent one and saw many practical applications for such equipment. The test was completed during an arduous 25-day trek at altitude in the Everest Region of Nepal. During this trek, water consumption was very high and dehydration was a major concern. The ability to safely utilise any available water source was therefore an excellent way to reduce our dependence on prepared water... It was safe, and very convenient and all gained confidence in its use as the expedition progressed "
