How long does a filter last?

Seychelle pitcher filters have a 150 gallon filter life. This allows for up to 300 full fill ups before a filter change is needed.
General replacement guidelines:
4+ people: Every 3 months
2 people: Every 3–4 months
Filter life may vary due to input water hardness and quality.

 Bottle and RO filter life varies by product; each product page lists its capacity.

What does a Seychelle filter remove?

Seychelle’s patented filtration system effectively removes or reduces up to 99.99% of the following zones of contamination: Aesthetic contaminants: unpleasant taste, odors, cloudiness, silt, sand, sediment and chlorine Chemical contaminants: VOC’s, toxic chemicals, THM’s, PCB’s, PCE’s,
 MTBE’s, detergents, herbicides, pesticides (DDT), benzene, PFOA’s and other harmful industrial and agricultural wastes Dissolved solid contaminants: heavy metals, aluminum, asbestos, cadmium, chromium 6, copper, arsenic, nitrates & nitrites, lead, mercury and up to 90% fluoride Radiological contaminants: gross beta, alpha radium 226, cesium 137 & 134, uranium, radon 222, plutonium and strontium pH: increases the alkalinity of water up to 9.5 pH

What's the difference between pH2O, regular and radiological filters?

pH2O: raise your water's pH up to 9.5 as they filter up to 99.99% of contaminants.
Regular: remove up to 99.99% of contaminants without increasing pH.
Radiological: removes radiological particles (gross alpha, gross beta, and radon-222)
Hollow Fiber: remove up to 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.999% of parasites for use with freshwater natural water sources of which the quality is unknown.

Who tests your filters?

Our Pitcher and 28oz flip top bottle filters are independently tested to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and 53 by Broward Testing Lab. Our hollow fiber filter products are tested to NSF/ANSI Standard 42, 53 and P231 by SGS

How long does a filter last?

All Seychelle pitcher filters have a 150 gallon filter life. How often you replace it depends on how much water you use. 

General replacement guidelines:

2 full pitchers = 1 gallon.

2 fills per day / 150 Gallons
= 150 days (5 months)

3 fills per day / 150 gallons
= 100 days (3.5 months)

4 fills per day / 150 gallons
= 75 days (2.5 months)

Filter life may vary due to input water hardness and quality.
