Seychelle ADVANCED Filters are tested to remove up to 99.99% of the following zones of contamination:
Aesthetic contaminants: unpleasant taste, odors, cloudiness, silt and chlorine
Chemical contaminants:VOC’s, toxic chemicals, trihalomethanes, PFOA, PFOS, PCB’s, glyphosate, herbicides, detergents, pesticides (DDT), benzene, atrazine and many more
Inorganic contaminants:heavy metals, aluminum, asbestos, cadmium, chromium 6, copper, arsenic, nitrates & nitrites, lead, and mercury
Radiological contaminants:radon 222
Overall it is a well designed and manufactured product that is essential for drinking water from questionable sources. It is also a practical upgrade from the standard USGI canteen and water purification tablets. The canteen has a wide mouth that can be cleaned with a bottle brush if required, and is made of flexible plastic that is thinner than USGI canteens by design. This is because the ADVANCED filter works fine but requires squeezing the canteen to maximize water flow, which is slower than a normal drink from an unfiltered canteen. The canteen fits all USGI MOLLE canteen covers and some but not all, USGI and aftermarket ALICE canteen covers. See photos. Some of my ALICE covers were too tight at the mouth, but this cover fit fine. Staying healthy is worth the price, and the water tastes better too.
Excellent product
I have been using Seychelles bottles and filters for about a decade. When I saw the canteen I had to get it and try it for camping trips... I was NOT disappointed! It is amazing and am expecting to use it for many years to come.
